Hi all,

I've got a strange behaviour...

Here is my environment:

Windows XP / Turbo Programmer 2 / Turbo Lite 2 /L2 Kernel installed on Turbo Lite.

Friday all was going well, I mean: sim_dump -d com8 and dbg -d com8 were working as expected.

Now (after a monday without using it at all) if I launch one of the 2 commands above, it says Cannot open application sim.trb or Cannot open application turboadapter.trb.

Anyone has an idea?

P.S.. the programmer jumper is set to write-protect.

Best regards

Stefano

Our tools need to be used permanently...

No, it can happen if there is some shortcut when TL2 is being inserted and TP EEPROM erased. (We also saw this behaviour related to windows but have no explanation why, it sometimes happen for few first accesses and then is ok, something in drivers probably).

Anyway try prog_apps to see what is installed. Then "prog_apps -e" to clear eeprom (just to be sure) and go to modules/ directory (you have to be in this dir) and do "prog_apps -u sim.trb", etc. for all the modules in the dir.

Uhm nope...

I tried with
- prog_apps -i (-e as you stated is not a valid option)
- prog_apps -u sim.trb and so on...

Now the RUN led blinks instead of stay on and the TP2 doesn't respond anymore to my calls...

Shocked

Ah, every command is launched with the -d COM8 attribute...

Sorry for the -e/-i.

And what was the output of prog_apps? Without any argument.

Anyway you can try to reflash whole firmware - seems like it was really a shorcut and possibly even flash got a shot. So:
1. unplug, change switch, plug
2. prog_update_fw tprog_kernel-3.1.0.bin (it's in firmware/ dir)
3. unplug, change switch, plug
4. let's see what prog_apps gives
5. upload modules

Problem partially solved, thanks...

The key was to change the usb port ...

Anyway, every 2/3 times I plug/replug I have to reinstall the modules on the tp2 ... strange ... it's not a big issue but annoying...

BTW the firmware didn't need to be upgraded...

Keep on with this good work and thanks for the lightning fast replies

Stefano
