someone help me out....

i have a brand new bladdox turbo sim... and a network locked swisscom 3g phone...

i ssh into the iphone 3g and in the bin folder i transfer all the files from the turbo-cable-utils-iPhone-0.7.0-rev1 (iphone-bin) folder... i give all the files 755 permission..

then i put the applesaft.trg and zerog095.trg into the private/var/root folder on the iphone 3g...

now when i try to run turbo-info from terminal... all i get is "killed"

what am i doing wrong?

No, you don't setup the SIM anymore like you did with applesaft, once you've programmed Zero-G in to the TurboSIM, you simply put in the Network SIM you want to use with the TurboSIM into the 3G iPhone and wait for the magic.

how do you program the zero-g in to the turboSIM?

Hey

Didn't post here much (perhaps even not at all ?) to keep Bladox away from iPhone hackery, but if it's ok, let's do it ! welcome back to our nice cozy drama ridden scene Smile

Fine for me to have a look at the code, although I probably won't have time to help much - I added some GPG key info to that hackint0sh post http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=45903 so that people can know it's really me Wink - then if you're super paranoid (you should be) ask for my key fingerprint on IRC, other people from the team and Dave will know it.

Regarding the utilities, they need to be recompiled for the 2.0 ABI - I'll try to do that soon, if nobody beats me to it.

Zero-G is not related to iphone, it's about device test mode that every phone has. We have customers doing network testers and so and our interest comes from this.

Unlikely. It does standard procedure described in etsi standards, it's used by vendors, operators and repairers.

There is a very happy girl over here Smile

I am using a iphone 3g from switzerland with a dutch vodafone simcard.

I can receive and make calls
I can receive and send sms messages
I can turn my phone on an off

Unfortunately i cannot try UMTS or HSDPA because i don't have a contract for that.
It is very very stable at the moment, but i am using it only for a couple of hours.

I did thes with the zerog files and the original turbosim of course.

PZ, thanks for the files, you have made my day Smile

Lucky you. On the other hand this method is unreliable and others may not be that lucky.

Can you give me your step by step? I can't get out of "No Service". When I first programmed the TSIM and put in my TMO card, "T-Mobile" came up for about 10 seconds then hasn't come up since. I have restarted 9-10 times, and have redone the entire process 3 times all to no avail. Any tips? Maybe it is my SIM card? Does it require a certain SIM? Mine is old as dirt, i've had it for multiple years.

1st I put the turbo sim into my 2g iPhone, made sure all the files were in there.
I ran turbo-rm-apps first.
Then I ran turbo-app /zerog095.trb.

Made sure it said ok. no error, took the turbo sim with my t-mobile sim and put it into the 3g iPhone.
At first it says No Service, after about a minute, it says switch, I tapped accept and it worked.
My T-Mobile sim is pretty recent so maybe that might be it.
I'm not sure, maybe you should get a newer sim.
Hope it works for you.
