Yes, I work on a port of simpleRTJ available at http://www.rtjcom.com/. It is private/educational project (due the srtj license nature).
Once I have bytecode interpreter JavaCard and SIM/SAT should be easy.

I wish I could. Unfortunately I can help only with testing or some pure java parts.

Btw. why are you interested in JavaCard esp.? The port I work on should be more generic jvm that could be restricted to javacard. But to be honest I don't see much point in the javacard itself.
In the another thread there is an idea on scripting language, so all the development could be done on the phone, maybe some subset of javascript? wmlscript?

With the assumption that JavaCard VM is stable enough, Java applets for JC will be easier to develop and debug (e.g. with JCOP tools).

There are some number of applets already has been developed and in mean time sim card will remove memory limitation. So right now Turbo can be quite good test platform for applications that will work on javaCard in near future.

While working on java port I took a little break and ported DDS BASIC interpreter. I launched a simple web page, see http://turbo.webz.cz
(hopefully the java will follow soon (but the basic is great fun (seeing the nested bracket I should port LISP Very Happy )))
