For now yes, we bought a lot of them to lower the price. You can buy 4 and 8MB DataFlash memory card for Turbo at e.g. www.digikey.com

If i got a larger memory card would it need to be formatted correctly by the bladox programmer?

Yes, for formatting you need the programmer. It is not possible via turbo because it takes some time.
